Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10 -06 -130 <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Jill Johns resigned from her seat on the Park and Recreation <br />Commission on January 15, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the term of the vacant seat will expire March 31, 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, the vacancy was advertised in two issues of the Ramsey Resident, The <br />Anoka County Union, QCTV, and the City's website; and <br />WHEREAS, staff received five letters of interest; and <br />WHEREAS, interviews for the vacancy were conducted on June 16, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Andrew Fyten was selected to fill the vacated term on the Park and <br />Recreation Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That Andrew Fyten be appointed to the Park and Recreation Commission to a term <br />ending March 31, 2011. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />McGlone, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
