HRA BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Consider Parking Ramp Phase II Design Services <br />Public Works Director Olson reviewed the staff report. <br />The Commission discussed the design for the parking ramp Phase II. <br />Motion by Commissioner Ramsey, seconded by Commissioner Elvig, to utilize the Landfill <br />Trust Fund and authorize staff to negotiate a contract directly with LSA Design, Inc. for an <br />amendment to the final design and construction administration of the 200 car parking ramp <br />expansion. <br />Further discussion. Chairperson Dehen noted they were not technically following the process by <br />obtaining quotes/bids and he would like to see those obtained. Commissioner Look agreed and <br />stated for that reason he would be voting against the motion. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Ramsey, Elvig, McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: <br />Chairperson Dehen and Commissioner Look. Absent: Commissioner Jeffrey. <br />Case #2: Six Month Review of Development Manager Services and Discussion of Winter <br />Work Plan <br />HRA Executive Director Nelson reviewed the staff report. <br />Development Manager Lazan updated the Commission on past, current, and future activities at <br />The COR. <br />Commissioner Ramsey recommended the Development Manager give more frequent updates to <br />the Commissioners. <br />Development Manager Lazan noted he would work on a communication tool for getting updates <br />to the HRA. <br />The Commissioner discussed the activities, the role the City staff plays in the activities, concepts <br />used in Maple Grove, and the staff reporting processes and structures. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />None. <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br />None. <br />COMMISSIONER INPUT <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority / September 21, 2010 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
