This construction involves the installation of trunk
sewer and water facilities and a bike path.

Construction of these facilities will involve the removal of all vegetation within the
right-of-way on the north side of the road. In some cases, there will be additional
easements necessary to construct the trail. In these cases, the City of Ramsey will be
contacting you individually to acquire the necessary easements and review the proposed
construction. We expect the trail construction to begin in late July. There is no
construction expected to take place in the boulevards on the south side of Alpine east of
Tonto Street.

It is likely that this construction will necessitate the closing of Alpine Drive for 2-3 days
and likely that delays will be encountered. We will make every effort to shorten this time
period but much of what we do is weather dependent. It was not the intent of either the
City of Ramsey or Arcon that this street would need to be closed but after detailed
analysis of the plans, construction methods and OSHA requirements, there appears to be
no alternative. Construction activity that requires work on Alpine Drive will not
commence until after school ends to protect the safety of the children walking to school.

,!

-206-
