The Planning Commission recommended the <br />land use change unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to adopt Resolution #02-02- <br />__ approving an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan to change the land use from low <br />density residential to medium density residential, and authorize staff to submit the <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment to the Met Council. <br /> <br />Motion can'ied. Plam~er Trudgeon stated that the City received a request to change the land use fi'om <br />Places to Shop to Places to Work. Principal Planner Trudgeon replied no. Councilmember <br />Anderson inquired if is some of the area is currently zoned R-1. Principal Planner Trudgeon <br />replied yes. Councihnember Anderson noted that a 4/5ths vote would be required for rezoning. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied that that is the problem with adopting a Comprehensive Plan <br />on a 3/5ths vote. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
