Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #02-03- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY ESTABLISH NO PARKINGt <br />REGULATIONS ON C.S.A.H.//5 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka Hennepin Independent School District No. 11 adopted an alternate <br />transportation plan that will become effective on April 8, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said alternate transportation plan will potentially increase the volume of <br />pedestrian traffic on C.S.A.H. #5; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council, the Anoka Hennepin School District, and the <br />Anoka County Highway Department are committed to the safety and well-being of pedestrian <br />traffic on the County road system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the unrestricted parking of vehicles on C.S.A.H. #5 in the vicinity of <br />Ramsey Elementary School presents a potential danger to pedestrians. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Anoka County Highway Department consider the implementation of a 'No Parking' <br /> zone between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday <br /> through Friday, between Sunwood Drive and Alpine Drive on both the east and west side of <br /> C.S.A.H. #5. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ., and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the fbllowing abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this 26th day of March, 2002. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />-60- <br /> <br /> <br />
