Oversized copies of the maps showing the three potential
alignments were handed out at the meeting. The corridor study proposed that TH 10 convert to a
six-lane freeway between Anoka and Elk River.

A motion was made to eliminate the most southerly alignment from the study as an alignment
option due to the implications and potential environmental concerns with the Mississippi River
as well as the challenges with the railroad. This motion passed unanimously.

A second motion was made to include Alpine Drive as a full access interchange. The City of
Ramsey has spent a significant amount of money to complete an east-west corridor throughout
the City and want its residents' to enjoy direct access to the freeway system via Alpine Drive.
This motion also passed unanimously.

Other concerns with the study include:

· Frontage road system between Jarvis in Elk River and Alpine Drive should be consistent
with the alignment of West Ramsey Industrial Park.
· Clarification should be given to traffic patterns relating to the closure of TH 47 to TH 10.
~ No mention about the McKinley Street connections beJ~wecn tha City of Ramsey and the
~ City of Anoka.- ~.~p,/,,~ Jo,---~ ~ c~_ ~-/, y/,o ~ ,~ ~ ~~

Comments are fiu~. tb the State of Minnesota by Aphl 3, 2002.
