The proposed legislation was reportedly rejected as being `not <br />well - written" and not thought out. <br />Source: Newark Advocate; www.newarkadvocate.com <br />NEW YORK <br />Proposed regulations that would have governed statewide use of out- <br />door wood boilers (OWBs) has been "tabled" in order to allow for an- <br />other public comment period. The regulations — proposed by the Depart- <br />ment of Environmental Conservation —would have "ensured that new <br />OWBs burn at least 90 percent cleaner than older models and require <br />users to use seasoned and clean wood as opposed to garbage and other <br />debris."
