CASE # <br /> <br />CONSIDER ADOPTION OF NO TRESPASSING ORDINANCE <br />By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br />and <br /> James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On August 14, 2001, the City Council directed staff to draft a no trespassing ordinance to be <br />presented for introduction. That ordinance was presented for Council review and introduction on <br />February 12, 2002. At that time it was tabled and re-presented to Council on February 26. <br />Council introduced the ordinance and directed staff to bring it back for formal adoption. Such <br />ordinance is now being presented for formal adoption. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #02-XXX adding Section 5.16 to the City Code, which provides for <br />prosecution and penalties for persons trespassing on certain properties within the City. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />City Administrator <br />Police Chief <br /> <br />CC: 03/12/02 <br /> <br />-179- <br /> <br /> <br />
