Norman <br />Diana Lund <br /> Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> Olson <br /> ~ervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Hendriksen called the regular <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Committee to order at 5:52 <br /> <br />Case ltl: Proposal of Right of Way Permit Fees and Associated Costs <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler stated that Ln December 2001, the Council directed <br />staff to research and make a recommendation as to Right of Way (ROW) permit fees. Staff had <br />researched the information for cities with populations between 10,000 to 20,000. The fees <br />ranged from nothing (Ramsey and Lino Lakes) to as much as $200 for permit, with other <br />charging per linear foot, per pit, per crossing. One city (Stillwater) requires a $5,000 bond when <br />tearing up streets. Street Supervisor Grant Riemer has estimated the administrative cost of <br />processing ROW permits is equal to a minimum of one hour of his time or $75.
