-76- <br /> <br />Case #5: Accept Resignation of Jon Pearson, Public Works Maintenance Worker <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Heryla stated that Jon Pearson turned in his resignation effective <br />March 1, 2002. With the Public Works Department looking to its busiest time of the year in a <br />few weeks, staff felt it was essential to coordinate Mr. Pearson's replacement as soon as possible. <br />Staff recommended that the Personnel Committee accept Mr. Pearson's resignation and direct <br />staff to begin the process for replacement. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to recommend that the City <br />Council accept Mr. Pearson's resignation and direct staff to begin the process for his <br />replacement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. After four months of employment, a <br />performance review was prep~d6:b~.e Ci~TClerk and Human Resources Manager who have <br />served as interim supervisors £~r the l~f2~7~etention Clerk in the absence of an Assistant City <br />Administrator. Based on the resu~;' of the pg~gjrnance review, the interim supervisors <br />determined that Troy HiIdebrant w~i_n'°t_~ee¢¢g!~h:~irbquirements of the job. Furthermore, Mr. <br />Hildebrant violated the City of Rams~,i(~:~$i~2utef~ftternet/E-mail usage policy, and it was fett <br />that the combination of unsatisfactory perfo~:~hd~:'~and )licy violation was serious enough <br />to place the employee on paid administrative t~,.¢~,e, the unsatisfactory performance <br />review and a flagrant policy violation, of Records Retention <br />Clerk Troy Hildebrant effective February 12, had not yet completed his <br />probationary period and was currently on paid <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember <br />Council terminate Records Retention Clerk Tro, <br /> <br />reCOmmend that the City <br />February 12, 2002. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
