Consent Agenda

APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF PASTOR BLAIR ANDERSON AS RAMSEY
REPRESENTATIVE ON THE NORTHWEST ANOKA COUNTY COMMUNITY
CONSORTIUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR YOUTH FIRST OF ANDOVER,
ANOKA, AND RAMSEY
By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk

Background:

Carolyn Beahen has resigned as the Ramsey representative on the Northwest Anoka County
Community Consortium Board of Directors for Youth First of Andover, Anoka, and Ramsey.
Each governmental agency who signed the joint powers agreement has two voting directors and
an alternate. Mayor Gamec is one of the directors and City Administrator Norman is an alternate
director. The City needs to appoint a director to replace Ms. Beahen. In a letter from Jean
Kinancon, Co-chair of the NWACCC Board of Directors, she stated that the Board will act upon
Ms. Beahen's resignation at their March 1, 2002 meeting. At that. time, the Board may suggest
some Ramsey residents for this position who are familiar with or active in Youth First.
However, the City Council is welcome to appoint whomever they wish to represent~them on the
Board. Mayor Gamec is suggesting that Pastor Blair Anderson be appointed to this position.

Copies distributed to:

City Administrator

-89-
