CC Regular Session <br />Date: 01/11/2011 <br />By: MaryJo Warner <br />Engineering /Public Works <br />Information <br />Item #: 5. 16. <br />Title: <br />Resolution Authorizing 1st Partial Payment to Rum River Contracting for IP 10 -07 Alpine Drive /Roanoke Street <br />Improvements <br />Background: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1ST PARTIAL PAYMENT TO RUM RIVER CONTRACTING FOR IP 10 -07 <br />ALPINE DRIVE /ROANOKE STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above <br />referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the <br />above referenced work on May 11, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Alpine Drive /Roanoke Street Improvements, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law and awarded on October 12, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Rum River Contracting in the amount of $177,225.31. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Rum River Contracting for the Alpine <br />Drive /Roanoke Street Improvements in the amount of $177,225.31. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the pay request and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the <br />release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of <br />January 11, 2011. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 1 lth day of <br />
