CC Regular Session <br />Date: 01/11/2011 <br />By: MaryJo Warner <br />Engineering /Public Works <br />Information <br />Item #: 5. 18. <br />Title: <br />Resolution Authorizing 1st Partial Payment to Dryden Excavating for 176th Avenue Culvert Replacement <br />Background: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1ST PARTIAL PAYMENT TO DRYDEN EXCAVATING FOR 176TH <br />AVENUE CULVERT REPLACEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications, the solicitation of <br />quotes, and the culvert replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the solicitation of quotes for 176th Avenue Culver Replacement, proposals were received, <br />opened, tabulated, and a project awarded according to law on November 9th, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Dryden Excavating in the amount of $52,431.84. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Dryden Excavating for the 176th Avenue Culvert <br />Replacement in the amount of $52,431.84. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the pay request and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the <br />release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of <br />January 11, 2011. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 1 lth day of <br />January, 2011. <br />Recommendation: <br />
