Title: Resolution Authorizing 2nd Partial Payment to Rum River Contracting for IP 08 -34, The Bituminous Paving of 151st and 152nd Avenues,Fluorine Street Background: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2nd PARTIAL PAYMENT TO RUM RIVER CONTRACTING FOR IP 08 -34, THE BITUMINOUS PAVING OF 151ST AND 152ND AVENUES, AND FLUORINE STREET WHEREAS, on January 12, 2010 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation of bids from plans prepared by City staff; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 08 -34, the bituminous paving of 151st and 152nd Avenues, and Fluorine Street, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and awarded on September 14, 2010 and WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Rum River Contracting in the amount of $174,189.45. WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Rum River Contracting in the amount of $95,852.17. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Rum River Contracting, Inc. for Improvement Project 08 -34, Bituminous Paving of 151st and 152nd Avenues and Fluorine Street in the amount of $95,852.17. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the partial pay request and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of January 11, 2011. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
