Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-02-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-52, SUNWOOD DRIVE NW <br />CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br /> CONTRACT FOR <br />STREET & UTILITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 11, 2001 City Council adopted Resolution #01-12-424 <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #99-52, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the six lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br /> Bidder <br />LaTour Construction <br />Kuechle Underground, Inc. <br />S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. <br />Redstone Construction <br />North Pine Aggregate, Inc. <br />Three Rivers Construction <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> $769 415.83 <br /> $777 930.67 <br /> $778 56O.52 <br /> $809 867.60 <br /> $810 944.07 <br /> $813 921.28 <br /> <br />ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE <br /> <br />$939,405.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that LaTour Construction is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with LaTour Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction <br />of Improvement Project #99-52 in the amount of $769,415.83. ~'//,/~~ <br /> <br />That the'City Engineer is hereby authorized ~ind directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />-201- <br /> <br /> <br />
