Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: A RESOLUTION APROVlNG AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT THE COMPREF[ENSIYE PLAN WHEREAS, the~s~ey' __r .~ey received a request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan fro~ui~ing and Development Corporation (the Applicant) for the purpose of amendin"g--t4~2and~ designation of the property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Properties); and WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Properties' designated land use as Low Density Urban Residential; and WHEREAS, the Applicant is requesting that the Subject Properties' designated land use be changed to Medium Density Urban Residential; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TItE CITY COUNCEL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the Subject Properties from-Low Density Urban Residential to Medium Density Urban Residential. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to designate the Subject Properties as Medium Density Residential. 3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember _ , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: -267-
