-270- <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br /> introduced the following~esolution and moved for its <br />RESOLUTION #02-02- kJW <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION APROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN <br /> AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMI~ THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL (._ k~-LA~ ;o.~j~ ~L~/~ ~ <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey as part of the Comprehensive Plan process has <br />· discussed amending the land use designation of the properties shown on Attachment A (the <br /> Subject Properties); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 200I Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Properties' designated <br />land use as Places to Shop; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has brought forward the idea that the lower one-third of the <br />Subject Properties' remain as Places to Shop, while the northern two-thirds of the Subject <br />Properties' be designated as Medium Density Urban. Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public <br />hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and <br />recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation for the <br /> northern tWo-thirds of the Subject Properties to Medium Density Urban Residential with the <br /> lower one-third of the Subject Properties remaining as Places to Shop. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br /> documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan <br /> to change the northern two-thirds of the Subject Properties to Medium Density Urban <br /> Residential with the lower one-third of the Subject Properties remaining as Places to Shop. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of <br /> notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember _ <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br /> <br />
