Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN <br />AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT ~REItEN~I-'~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received <br />Comprehensive Plan from John Peterson of Oakwood Land Development, Inc. (the Applicant) <br />for the purpose of amending the land use designation of the property shown on Attachment A <br />(the Subject Property); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject' Property's designated <br />land use as Low Density Urban Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant is requesting that the Subject property's designated land use <br />be changed to Medium Density Urban Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public <br />hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and <br />recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the <br />Subject Property from Low Density Urban Residential to Medium Density Urban <br />Residential. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff fo submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment 'to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan <br />to designate the Subject Property as Medium Density Residential. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of <br /> notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember_ <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />-273- <br /> <br /> <br />
