-276- Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: A RESOLUTION APROVING AN aMEND N TO , C PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMI~nT._~E COMPREHENSIVE PLAN . AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL(?:~O~ WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey as part of the Comprehensive Plan process has discussed amending the land use designation of the property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Properties); and WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Properties' designated land use as Places to Shop; and WHEREAS, the City has brought forward the idea that the Subject Properties' land use designation be changed to Places to Work; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation for the Subject Properties from Places to Shop to Places to Work. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff' to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation for the Subject Properties to Places to Work. 3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council.
