-286- Councilmember adoption: introduced the RESOLUTION #0~12~- A RESOLUTION APROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENI$IVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT. THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ~/~?L,4.oOO~,.. ~ WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received a request for an amendrfient to the Comprehensive Plan from John Darkenwald (the Applicant) for the purpose of amending the land use designation of the property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Property); and WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Property's designated land use as Places to Shop; and WHEREAS, the Applicants are requesting that the-Subject Property's designated land use be changed to Places to Work; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the Subject Property from Places to Shop to Places to Work. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to designate the Subject Property as Places to Work. 3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember _ , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: I and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained:
