I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: A RESOLUTION APROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT ,THE COMPRE~NSIVE PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey as part of the Comprehensive Plan process has discussed amending the land use designation of the property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Property); and WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Property's designated · land use as Places to Work; and WHEREAS, the City has brought forward the idea that the Subject Property's land use designation be changed to Mixed Use; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TFFE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the Subject Property from Places to Work to Mixed Use. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation for the Subject Property to Mixed Use. 3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember_ , and upon vote being taken thereon, the folloWing voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained:. -289-
