-292- Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its A RESOLUTION APROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN TO EXPAND THE METROPOLITAN URBAN SERVICE ARE (MUSA) LINE AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT .THE COMPREHENSIVE PLaN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL (/9_t..0_ff~_&_~) WHEREAS, the Cky of Ramsey, as part of the Comprehensive Plan process, has discussed expanding the MUSA line to include property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Properties); and WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Properties as being outside of the MUSA; and WHEREAS, the City has brought forward the idea of including the Subject Properties inside the MUSA; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed expansion of the MUSA line; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for expansion of the MUSA line. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for an expansion of the MUSA boundary to include the Subject Properties. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to include the Subject Properties in the MUSA Boundary. 3) That this expansion of the MUSA area shall become effective concurrent with the City's · receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember _ , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' and the following voted against the same:
