-298- Ii Councilmember '. introgtuced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: I ,- . fl ~,]"-~ AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO S~MIT J~ CO~HENS~ PLAN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNC~ [ WHE~AS, the City of Ramsey, as pa~ of the Compre~~,5~ testimony requesting that the MLISA line be expanded to include property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Property); and WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Property as being outside of the MUSA; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 and received testimony requesting that the MUSA line be extended to include the Subject Property; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for expansion of the MUSA line. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for an expansion of the MUSA boundary to include the Subject Property. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to include the Subject Property in the MUSA Boundary. That this expansion of the MUSA area shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council.
