-190- <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-01- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACTS AND APPROVING AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY <br />STAFF TO SUBMIT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCI~L <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 14, 2001, the City of Ramsey received a request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan from Edina Development, Inc. (the Applicants) for the <br />purpose of amending the land use'designation of the following legally described property: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of SectiOn 24, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying westerly of the center <br />line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; and <br /> <br />That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying north of the South <br />413.75 feet of said Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and lying <br />westerly of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; and <br /> <br />That part of the South 413.75 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest <br />Quarter of Section 24, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying <br />westerly of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; <br /> <br />(the Subject Property) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan approved in 2001 shows the subject <br />property's designated land use as Places to Shop; and <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Applicants are requesting that the subject property's designated <br />land use be changed to Medium Density Residential; and <br /> <br /> WFIEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on January 3, 2002, conducted a <br />public hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds that the adjacent land uses are designated as low density <br />residential that allows up three units per acre (four units per acre as a planned unit development) <br />and that the proposed medium density residential use allows for up to seven units per acre; and <br /> <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
