He requested that the City Attorney look into the issue and report back and requested <br />that all Councilmembers express the action of the Council as a whole during the Council update. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that when he did his last Council update it was run very few <br />and yet a campaign for a passage of a new Charter Amendment was run every three hours. He <br />questioned what the policy was for running a Councilmembers update and who makes the <br />decision as to what gets shown at what time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that at the City's expense a promotional piece was created <br />and ran 66 times in support of a ballot question, which is questionable. For an infomercial they <br />preempted Council updates. Personally he believes that a Council update is to not only give <br />citizens the Council action, but also understand the issues that are being debated at the Council <br />level.
