To Honorable Mayor and City Council ,,,'~),~,..,
City of Ramsey

Re: Storm seweer improvement Project # 99-67 (Mississippi River storm water
subdrainage District No. 1)

We the undersigned land owners in the above storm water subdrainage District No. 1,
respectfully request the Ramsey City Council to not construct the above project at this
time and drop it's condemnation action against our properties.

The reason for this request is that we feel it is premature to install this storm sewer pipe at
this time for the following reasons:

1. Our property under its present use does not require a storm sewer outlet pipe.

2. Most of this property is not sufficently developed at this time to be able to support
the high assessment taxes for the cost of this project. There is the real possibility that this
property could be forfited, because of unreasonable high assessment taxes for the
properties present use.

3. The unique narrow width of this property between US Highway I0 and the BNSFF
Railroad track makes it imperative that any proposed service road and city utilities be
designed to go in as a unit with the developement. Until this property is ultimately
developed it will not be known exactly where a proposed future service road and
accompaning city utilities such as sanitary sewer, water and storm sewer pipes should go.
To put in a storm sewer pipe at this time could really mess up the future develpement for
this property by not leaving the flexability to design a developement so the best business
for the city could go in this area.

OWNER pARCEL NO
__/x_Y~~r__~_ ~ . ~ ...................................................... _._ .........

: ................ ,,_. ..... :__
,.'~. - --; ...... ~- .... : .............. -: ................................ : ........

....................
................ x :;:-z¢--: .....

-207-
