The current zoning is a City Attorney Goodrich noted that once the new Comprehensive Plan is adopted that plan will take precedent, but if the property is rezoned at this time a minor amendment of the existing Comprehensive Plan must be completed so that they do not violate State Statute. Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to add the fotlowing as a finding of fact: "That the draft Comprehensive Plan was sent to the Met Council on December 21, 1999, and was not accepted as complete by the Met Council." Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmennan, Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. Motion by Councih-nember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to add the fbllowing as a finding of fact: "That the subsequent draft Comprehensive Plan was sent to the Met Council on July 21, 2000, and was accepted as complete on October 4, 2000." Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmennan, Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councih-nember Zimmerman, to add the following as a finding of fact: "That the July 21, 2000 Comprehensive Plan has not been approved by the Met Council. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Cotmcilmembers Hendriksen, Zin-m~em~an, Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. Motion by Cottncihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Cottncilmember Zirnrnerman, to add the following as a finding of fact: "That the 1980 Comprehensive Plan as amended in 1985 and 1995 does not include the proposed use on the easterly portion of the parcel." Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, 'seconded by Councilmember Zimrnerman, to change finding of fact #10 to read as follows: "That the impact on the market value is unlenown." Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councih-nembers Hendriksen, Zinamem:tan, Anderson, and Cormolly. Voting No: None. Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to add the following as a finding of fact: "That the City has received testimony from some sm-rounding property owner that they believe that their property value will be diminished due to this rezoning.
