Case #5: Request lbr Final Plat Approval of a Minor Subdivision, Sunwood Estates; Case of Anoka County Community Action Program (ACCAP) Case 6: Request for Site Plan Review of Sunwood Estates; Case'of Anoka County Community Action Program (ACCAP) Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to table action on Case #5 and Case #6 and invoke the 60-day extension. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: Councihnember Anderson. Abstain: Councillnember Connolly. Case #8: Accept Information Regarding Staff Recommendation for a .New Street Name for t53~a/155t" Avenue City Administrator Norn~an stated that the City is currently working to construct a cmmection between 153rd Avenue and 155th Avenue creating a City street that connects the east side of Ramsey to the ,,vest side. At the Happy Days festival in September, residents were asked for their suggestions for a new street name. Staff received approximately 30 suggestions, which were submitted to the Council fbr their consideration. They selected five and asked that staff be surveyed for their choice from those five. Surveys listing the five choices went out to all City departments asking that each proposed street name be ranked and returned to the Assistant City Administrator by November 13, 2000. The Assistant City Administrator received 37 responses from 54 City employees. The staff selected "Alpine" as their favorite name fbr 153/155 Avenue. There was also a suggestion that "Drive" should be changed to "Parkway"-because the roadway runs adjacent to Alpine Park. Lake Itasca Drive came in as second; Mnnicipal Center Drive third; Thorn Drive fourth; and Pearson Drive fifth. Councilmember Conno[ly stated that she would prefer Alpine Drive so that "Drives" are going in one direction and "Boulevards" in another. City Attorney Goodrich noted that the name change would require an ordinance so at this point all they are doing is selecting a name and directing staff to put together an ordinance fbr introduction. Mayor Gamec stated that there has been some concern from residents on how the address change ~vill be handled and inquired if the City will handle that change or does the post office or resident have to do it.
