Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City Council received a proposed Charter Amendment petition during the regular Council <br />meeting of January 23, 2001. According to State Statute, the City Council is obligated tO <br />schedule a special election if the petition meets all the'requirements. The special election must <br />be held within a 90-day period. <br /> <br />The City Clerk has reviewed the petition signatures and determined that the required amount of <br />signatures are registered voters is in order to file for a special election.
