-202- <br /> <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE #01- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 8 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE BUILDING AND <br />HOUSING CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8.30 "SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS" OF <br />CHAPTER 8 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Subsection 8.3 0.02 (Administration) shall be amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />8.30.02A Maintenance <br /> <br />Required Frequency Of Pumping/Cleaning and Inspection. Each <br />owner of property containing an Individual Sewage Treatment System <br />(ISTS) shall cause said system to be pumped/cleaned at intervals not to <br />exceed every three years or upon receipt of an inspection report indicating <br />an immediate need for pumping/cleaning. Within thirty (30 days) after <br />pumping a system, the septic tank pumper shall file a Pumping Report, <br />upon forms supplied by the City, on each system serviced and provide all <br />the applicable details requested, including information about any <br />deficiencies or needed maintenance. These forms shall become part of the <br />'permanent City records. The initial pumping report shall be filed at the <br />City no later than October 31, 2003. A receipt issued by the pumper for a <br />pumping job performed within a 12 month period previous to the effective <br />date of this ordinance shall suffice as the initial pumping report. <br /> <br />Notification Process. Through individual mailed notice, the City shall <br />notify Owners of property containing an ISTS once every three (3) years <br />that they are required to pump/clean their ISTS. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />Waiver of Pumping Requirement. In the event that compliance with the <br />minimum standards of Chapter 7080 are verified by a licensed Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency Septic Inspector and a Maintenance Inspection <br />Report is filed with the City on forms supplied by the City and after <br />review by the City Building Official that the findings of the inspection are <br />in compliance with Chapter 7080, no pumping or Pumping Report shall be <br />required. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br /> I <br />i <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I' <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
