J!

I

There are a few changes this summer in some of our pool policies and rules, which we are enclosing for
your convenience. Please read though all of this information prior to purchasing a season pass.
Remember: These rules are established by consulting state health codes, manufacturers'
recommendations, professionals in the field, and industry standards. These rules have been approved by
the Anoka City Council and are in place for the safety of everyone using the Anoka Aquatic Center.
Below are just a few we would like to highlight. The rest are listed on the back of the flier enclosed with
this letter.

If you have a question about any of this information, contact the Anoka Parks Department at (763) 576-
2980.

Swlmwear: In order to provide a clean safe environmmat, any person entering the pool must have
appropriate swimwcar. Street clothing of any kind is not allowed in the pool. Swim suits must be made
of appropriate material and have a liner. Cotton, denim or mesh shorts do not qualify as swim wear and
may not be worn in the pool. Most suits are made of lycra, nylon or a combination of the two and have a
liner, lfyou have questions about swimwear, please ask before you pay to enter the pool.

Diapers: Children who are not toilet trained must wear tight fitting rubber pants or a swim diaper.
Changing stations are provided in the bathhou.qe for your convenience. Please change and dispose of
diapers in proper areas.

Food and Beverages: Visitors of thc facilky are not permitted to bring food or beverages into the
facility. Picnic tables are located in George Green Park and may be used. Visitors may purchase food and
beverages from the concession stand during open hours. All food and beverages must be consumed
within the designated area. You may bring in clear (non-glass) containers of water. No other beverages
or food will be allowed. The sta£fmay request that you dispose of or remove any food or beverages from
thc premises,

Pool Chairs: The pool has a limited number of deck chairs, and we request that you tkse them wisely.
Last summer many patrons placed towels on them and then went swimming; actually sitting on them for
the five minute breaks only. So please, be courteous of others and try not to.hold chairs when you don't
really use them.

Parking: The Aquatic Center has limited parking, so please observe 'all parking signs and park
appropriately. Additional parking is located at Lincoln Elementary School, only two blocks away.

We look forward to seeing you th.is summer!

Sincerely,

Kevin Symens
Aquatics Supervisor

.ANOKA
AQ UATI C
CENTER

-261-
