I <br /> <br />Ramsey Police Department <br /> JanUary 2001 <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />* The full-time Crime Prevention Specialist position was filled in January by <br /> Chandra Kreyer. <br />· The North Metro Humane Society closed its doors, and caused for the police <br /> department to arrange for temporary accommodations for impounded animals. <br /> <br />Public Safety <br /> <br />· Monthly statistical report is attached. <br /> <br />Crime Prevention <br /> <br />Public S.afe. ty Aid - Police Reserve Program <br /> <br />· Patrol shifts were completed each night on weekends in January by volunteers in <br /> the program. <br />* The "On the Patrol" article in a recent publication of the Anoka' County Union, is <br /> attached. <br />· Applications are being accepted through mid-February for new members. <br /> <br />School Resource Program <br /> <br />· Officer Jim Singewald started a school liaison program at Ramsey Elementary <br /> through the awarded Grant Program from Anoka County. <br />· Officer Singewald worked 18 scheduled days, or 154 ~ hours. <br />· A number issues in January included a truancy case, group counseling sessions, <br /> anger counseling, sharing sessions,' and a possible child protection ease. <br /> Behavior contracts were issued to two elementary students. <br />· A meeting with the SUCCESS committee established the creation of new <br /> discipline slips. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
