I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br /> February 2001 <br /> <br />Crime Prevention <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Conducted 2 tobacco compliance checks. <br />February 21 st. 3 failures out of 18 (Oasis, Amoco, Tom Thumb) <br />February 28th - 2 failures out of 19 (LeTourneaus, Casey's) <br /> <br />Participated in the Metro Area National Night Out Roundtable and shared past ideas and new <br />efforts in promoting NNO throughout the entire state of MN. MN will once again enter into <br />the National "State" competition. Last year MN was the runner-up. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Attended Youth First meeting as a Ramsey Police representative. <br /> <br />· Participated in a Youth First sub-committee to help organize the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast. <br /> <br />Hosted a Youth First sub-committee meeting (representatives from Anoka PD, and Sheriffs <br />Dept.) to look at benefits of promoting Youth First through Crime Watch program efforts. <br />This committee will continue to meet and discuss ways to promote through existing police <br />sponsored programs. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Met with the new management team at Savannah Oaks. Distributed information about <br />TRIAD, personal safety and home safety checklist brochures to the residents. They are very <br />excited to begin an "apartment crime watch group" and participate once again on NNO. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />-7- <br /> <br /> <br />
