PC CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE HIRING OF PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> By: Rhonda Heryla, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On December 12, 2000, the City Council authorized the hiring of one additional Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker. The position was posted internally and one application was <br />received by the deadline. An interview was conducted by a panel consisting of the Public <br />Works Director, Parks/Utilities Supervisor, Public Works Supervisor, Public Works Lead <br />Person, and Human Resources Manager. Based on the panel's recommendation, staff is <br />recommending hiring Tim Gladhill for the position of Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommeriding Tim Gladhill for the position of full-time Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker at a starting wage of $14.52/hour plus benefits and will accrue two <br />weeks of vacation per year.
