I would like to <br />build a 30'X36' detached garage in my backyard in which the overall height of the proposed <br />structure would be 18' and 2". The Ramsey City ordinance states that the height of the accessory <br />building shall not exceed 16' on property inside the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. I would <br />like to ask for approval of this permit in order to construct the proposed structure as closely as <br />possible to the existing attached garage which is approximately the same height and width as the <br />proposed structure. I believe that closely matching the two garages will add a pleasant <br />appearance as well as maintaining the adequate function for which it was designed. The purpose <br />of this building is for personal storage and hobbies.
