CASE <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT <br />AND OPERATE A CELLULAR ANTENNA AND RELATED <br />EQUIPMENT BUILDING ON CITY PROPERTY: <br /> CASE OF VERIZON WIRELESS <br /> By: Megan Wald, Community Development Assistant <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has received an application from Verizon Wireless requesting a conditional use permit <br />to construct and operate cellular antennas and an equipment building on City owned property <br />generally located at the intersection of County Road #5 and Dysprosium Street, otherwise known <br />as 14391 Dysprosium Street NW. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br />f) <br />g) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Site Plan - <br />Proposed equipment building pictures <br />Letter from applicant <br />Draft Planning Commission meting minutes dated April 3, 2001 <br />Proposed Findings of Fact <br />Proposed Conditional Use Permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />State law requires that properties within 350 feet of the subject property be notified of the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The subject property is zoned B-1 Business, surrounding parcels to the north, south, and west are <br />currently zoned, B-1 Business, the property to the southeast is zoned high:density multi-family <br />(Savanna Oaks Senior Apartments). Royal Oaks Reality is proposing to rezone 86.71 acres <br />surrounding the water tower to Planned Unit Development (PUD) in order to facilitate a <br />townhome, apartment, and single family development. The City Council reviewed the sketch <br />plan for Royal Oaks Reality development on March 27, 2001. <br /> <br />-177- <br /> <br /> <br />
