CASE #: :5 <br /> <br />SPECIAL REQUESTS FOR SNOSVPLOWING ON PRIVATE ROAD <br /> By: Grant Riemer, Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has approximately 3 miles of private roads existing and proposed in our <br />road system. Most of the private roads are located within townhouse developments. Staff <br />again this year received requests from both residents and business owners requesting snow <br />removal service. Callers were informed that current policy does not include plowing private <br />roads or driveways. Callers asking the reason for this policy were informed about set back <br />requirements,, easement variances, and various other conditions that separate private roads <br />from public roads.
