CASE #: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT # 01-17, WATER <br />TOWER NO. 2 CONNECTING MAIN <br /> By: Brian Olson, City Engineer <br /> By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Water Tower No. 2 is nearing completion. Painting has begun on the structure and is anticipated <br />to be complete by the June 18, 2001 contact completion date. In order to make the water tower <br />serviceable a watermain connection needs to be completed between the water tower and the main <br />on Sunwood Drive N.W. This project provides for that connection and also for the paving of a <br />driveway from Sunwood Drive into the base of the tower, which will be used for off-season <br />equipment storage. The project also solicits an alternate bid for the installation of bituminous <br />trail through this site west to Ramsey Boulevard. <br /> <br />Bids will be opened on Monday, May 21, 2001.
