I AMOUNT <br /> SA TOTAL $ <br /> <br />This Contract is between the State of Minnesota, acting through its Commissioner of Transportation, and Contractor as follows: <br /> <br />Whereas: <br /> <br />This Contract provides, among other things, for construction of storm sewer, signal systems, <br />grading, aggregate base, and surfacing of T.H. 47, CSAH 5, and Sunwood Drive in Ramsey, and <br /> <br />Whereas: <br /> <br />The elevation of T.H. 47 was raised as to render the inplace earth berm ineffective as a noise <br />deflector for City of Ramsey residents, and <br /> <br />Whereas: Landscaping will be put in place along T.H. 47 on and around the inplace earth berm, and <br /> <br />Whereas: <br /> <br />It has been determined that a six (6) foot screening wall is needed to deflect noise for the City of <br />Ramsey residents negatively affected by the reconstruction of T.H. 47, and <br /> <br />Whereas: <br />Whereas: <br /> <br />The construction of the screening wall is necessary at this time, before landscaping, so that newly <br />planted shrubs and trees will not need to be disturbed and the screening wall will need landscaping in <br />place around the structure, and <br /> <br />Furthermore, the City of Ramsey has issued plan additions to the Contract for additional grading <br />work and construction of a screening wall parallel to T.H. 47 from Sra. 13+452 to Sra. 14+235.3, <br />Sm. 14+545 to Sra. 14+ 629, Sra. 14+665 to Sra. 14+723, and Sra. 14+716 to Sra. 14+810 for <br />approximately 203 i. 7 square meters of screening wail. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD THAT: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />The Contractor is hereby directed to modify the construction of this Contract in accordance with the <br />additional plan sheets numbered 1 through 14 for a T.H. 47 screening fence. <br /> <br />Price of screening fence is per square meter including posts. <br /> <br />i3) <br /> <br />By signing this Agreement the Contractor acknowledges receipt of the plan sheets, which are hereby <br />incorporated into the Contract by reference. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Payment for these additions will be paid as shown in the Estimate of Cost. <br /> <br />'209- <br /> <br /> <br />
