Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #01-05- RESOLUTION APPROVING 2Nn PARTIAL PAYMENT TO ERICKSON CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #00-21 (143Im AVENUE N.W. STREET AND UTILITY CONSTRUCTION) WHEREAS, on September 13, 2000, the Ramsey City Council approved Resolution #00-09-229 approving the plans and specifications for the above reference work; and WHEREAS, on October 24, 2000, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #00-10~ 283 awarding the bid for Improvement Project #00-21, 143rd Avenue N.W. Street and Utility Construction project to Erickson Construction, Inc. in the amount of $497,580.48; and WHEREAS, on April 24, 2001, City Engineer Brian Olson inspected the completed work and recommended first partial payment to Erickson Construction, Inc. in the amount of $52,707.26; and WHEREAS, City Engineer Brian Olson inspected the completed work and recommended second partial payment to Erickson Construction, Inc. in the amount of $185,320.11. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Erickson Construction, Inc. for Improvement Project #00-21, 143rd Avenue N.W. Street and Utility ConstrUction project in the amount of$185,320.11 on May 22, 2001. 2) That the City Council authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of May, 2001. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #01-05- Page 1 of 2 -70-
