-126- PROPOSED ORDINANCE #01- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOIC4. COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE MUNICIPAL REGULATIONS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.09 04 "BA1LNS AND STABLES" OF CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE OF 1L~MSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey ordains: ' N SECTION t. AMENDMEi T Section 5.09.04 (Barns and Stables), Subd. 1, shall be amended to read as follows: Subd. 1. No stable or barn in which hoses, sheep, cows, goats or other animals are kept may be located within 50 feet of a place of human habitation and 75 feet of neighboring property lines. Such stables and barns, where lawful, shall be kept clean. Manure shall be removed with sufficient frequency to avoid nuisance from odors or from the breeding of flies at least once eveu two weeks. SECTION 2. SUMMARY The following official summary of Ordinance #01-__ has been approved by the City, Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #01-__ to amend Ramsey Ci~ Code to relocate the setback for barns from neighboring property lines from Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision of Land), Section 9.20.11 (R-1 Rural Residential District).to Chapter 5 (Municipal Regulations), Section 5.09.04 (Barns and Stables). SECTION .3. EFFECTIVE DATE The effective date of this ordinance is thirty, (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City Charter Section 5.07. Adopted by the Ramsey City.
