2001, the Board of Adjustment denied a variance for Amcor Precast to construct a structure <br />reaching 44 feet in height. On appeal, the City Council granted the variance to Amcor Precast. <br />City staff recommended denial of the variance based on the Ramsey Fire Department's <br />comments. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Jim Gilbertson stated that the City has a mutual aid agreement with Elk River ~!i~oka, so why <br />would the City of Ramsey want to purchase their own aerial ladder truck. <br /> <br />Mike Black, Royal Oaks Realty, presented an elevation of the prOp~'~ sen~"i~uilding. He <br />explained that he had met with the Fire Chief regarding the height, issue and s~nee:!ha~, meeting <br />they have made a few adjustments to the proposed building. ~Th~.~_~'Y'h'hve changed the ~ad~g plan <br />by four feet around the two sides of the building where the.:~Fi~:Chief had the most <br />addition to that they will have a level area for 25 feet am~xn'd~ the building as well as a wal~ay <br />around the building. The Fire Chief also raised some i'~sues regardii~g~ ~ fire prevention to be <br />included as part of completion of the building. The arch'~t'efit'has acMre~sed those issues and will <br />forward that information on to the Fire Chief.
