City Administrator Norman noted that they are not suggesting that they relocate the station, but simply for the purpose of the study have the station be more centralized. Councilmember Hendriksen inquired since one or both of the locations have to be located on the Kurak property is there any conflict of interest for Councilmember Kurak. City Attorney Goodrich replied that this action would be for study purposes only so there would not be a conflict. Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to confirm the rail station location, for study purposes only, be assumed in a central location in Section 28 as designated by the map of the Metropolitan Council Opportunity Site Project Manager's Letter dated April 13, 200l. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: Councilmembers Hendriksen and Zimmerman. Case 8a: Introduce Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Certain City Owned Property City Attorney Goodrich noted that the purchase agreement for the property used a platted legal description, but since the plat failed an ordinance needs to be introduced and adopted using the metes and bounds description. Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to introduce Ordinance No. 01- authorizing the sale of certain City owned property located in the City of Ramsey. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: Councilmembers Hendriksen and Zimmerman. Case #9: Report from Personnel Committee Councilmember Anderson stated that the Personnel discussed the following four cases: Committee met on May 8, 2001 and 1) Receive Information about Retirement of Patrol Officer and Authorize Recruitment of iReplacement Patrol Officer 2) Consider Ending Probationary Period of Office Supervisor City Council/May 8, 2001 Page 17 of 20
