1) Authorize Transfer of General Fund Revenues <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Consider Authorization of Highway #10 Redevelopment Planning Services <br />Addendum <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Receive Quotes for Conference Room Table and Chairs for City Hall Conference <br />Room; Select Quote <br /> <br />4) Purchase of Audio Visual Presentation Equipment <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Finance Committee for Cases 1 through 4. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) 2002 Capital Equipment Schedule <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that Case #5 dealt with the purchase of an aerial ladder truck <br />for the Fire Department. The Committee directed staff to research further information and report <br />back. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler noted that two issues were brought up during the <br />Finance Committee. One was if any other cities charge a fee to businesses that exceed height <br />restrictions and secondly how do cities with tall buildings deal with height apparatus. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the $500,000 was a reasonable figure, for the cost of the <br />truck. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the City would currently have to call a neighboring City <br />for assistance if there was a fire in a building over 35 feet. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen requested that staff have the response time from each of the <br />neighboring cities available at the next meeting. He also requested information on what the <br />Ramsey Fire Station procedure would be in that type of situation and where the neighboring fire <br />trucks are housed. <br /> <br />City Council/May 8, 2001 <br />Page 19 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
