ADOPT ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH <br />DEVELOPMENT MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN PARCELS IN SECTION 29 <br />By: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On June 12, 2001, the City Council introduced an ordinance to establish'a 24 month development <br />moratorium on certain parcels in Section 29. The purpose of the moratorium is to protect the <br />planning process while Mn/DOT, Anoka County and Hennepin County perform a Northwest <br />Metro Corridor and River Crossing Study to consider long term options to address the relief of <br />congestion on highway corridors and river crossings. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Per Council's direction on June 12, additional parcels in Section 29 have been added to the <br />moratorium area.
