-4- <br /> <br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br /> May 2001 <br /> <br />General Police Statistics and Highlights <br /> <br />Thefts <br /> <br />Thefts of parts and items from within vehicles continued to rise in May 2001. A suspect has <br />been arrested and is believed to be involved in a number of thefts in the area. Officers will <br />continue increased patrol during the late evening hours in residential areas. <br /> <br />Animal Control <br /> <br />Four dogs were impounded at the Anoka Impound Facility in the month of April. Of those <br />impounds, two were retrieved by their owners and two were euthanized. <br /> <br />Training <br /> <br />The officers of the Ramsey Police Department completed 351 hours of P.O.S.T. accredited <br />training in the month of May.-Training included officers attending the Spring Shoot, PIT <br />Driving School. and First Responder Training. Two officers attended a Ground Fighting <br />Instructor Course. A Patrol Interdiction Emergency Response course and Long Gun Shoot <br />were hosted by the Ramsey Police Department in May.
