I I I May 21, 2001 Dan Karsr, Jr. t 3282 Yorktown Lane Champlin, b/IN 55316 Re: Conditional Use Permit compliance Dear Mr. Karst: As you are aware, the pending sale of your aluminum processing facility at 14050 Basalt Street N.W- has resulted in some site vis/ts this Spring. On reviewing the site as it relates to the current conditional use permit in effect (Resolution 9%0%053), there are violations that have been noted.. They consist of the following: 1. Outside storage on Lots 2, ,3 and 4 of Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park #3 (conditional use permit applies to Lot 1 only). 2. Deterioration of the 90% opacity screening requirement around outside storage areas. 3. Outside storage of inoperable vehicles and mater/als not related to aluminum processing. 4. Provide the C it-,/with evidence that runbff water from tl: ~. Site Complies with federal and state water quality standards. 5. Provide evidence that the electrical system in the building is up to code. 6. There has been no petition ~br city sewer and water or an alternative plan for handling sewage. In accordance with City Code regulations, you have 30 days, or until June 23, 2001, to make the necessary corrections. A City Council public hearing' is tentatively scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on June 26, 2001 to assess the violations, corrections and consider revocation of the Permit.
