-14- <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired as to what the impact funds are used for. <br />City Engineer Olson replied that the City has not used those funds to date. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired as to how many projects the City is currently looking at to be <br />paid for out of the storm drainage utility fund. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that there is a number of existing drainage problems that could be <br />funded through this utility. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that it seems as if the business community has taken a large <br />financial hit because of the storm drainage utility fee. She stated that she would like to see <br />somehow the stress be reduced on the business owners. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman replied that the businesses expect the City to handle storm water <br />management and as the City grows these are some of the problems they face. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the alternative is to have the citizens subsidize the mn-off <br />of businesses. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that she would like to see the calculation of how the fees are <br />determined. <br /> <br />Charles Delaney, stated that he owns 80 acres of land and business which does not connect to <br />any road expect for the driveway. 50 acres of the land is vacant and includes a lake as well as <br />wetlands.
