I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #01-09- A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A REQUEST FROM BLUE LINE COLLISION CENTER FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO EXCEED SIGN SQUARE FOOTAGE AND HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ESTABLISHED IN CITY CODE WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Blue Line Collision Center for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign square footage and height restrictions on the property legally described as follows: Lot 9, Auditor's Subdi¥ision No. 96, According to the recorded plat thereof and situated in Anoka County, Minnesota. ("Subject Property") NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating to the request are determined to be as follows: That Blue Line Collision Center, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed sign square footage and height restrictions on the Subject Property. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on September 4, 2001, and that said public hearing was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. 3. That the Subject Property is approximately 19,000 square feet (.43 acres) in size. 4. That the Subject Property and the parcels to the north, east and west are zoned B-3 Highway Business and the properties to the south are zoned R-I Residential. That Section 9.12.08, Subd. 2, of the Ramsey City Code states that wall signs shall be limited to 15% of the front building fagade and that sign height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall. 6. That the Applicant is allowed 93 square feet of wall signage on the Subject Property. 7. That a 320 square fbot wall sign, 160 square foot roof billboard sign, and a 30 square foot pylon sign currently exists on the Subject Property. 8. That the Applicant is proposing to remove the existing wall sign and roof billboard sign. -291-
