I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #01-09-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING 2001 SCHEDULE OF RATES, FEES AND CHARGES <br />(DOG IMPOUND FEES) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the current Schedule of Rates and Charges was adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council under Resolution #00~12-336 on December 12, 2000, and amended under Resolution <br />#01-01-032 on January 23, 2001; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Code (Chapter 5, Subd. 10.) states Reclaiming. An owner may <br />reclaim an impounded dog: a. If the dog has a current license: By paying to the pound master <br />an impounding fee of $50.00 plus a boarding fee in an amount determined by agreement between <br />the City and the designated pound, for each day the animal was confined. The impounding fee <br />for any dog impounded twice within 12 months shall be $100.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this fee should not be listed in the City Code as fees are subject to change <br />and it is a simpler process to change the fees in the annual adoption of a Resolution setting the <br />Rates, Fees and Charges; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 11, 2001, the City Council introduced an ordinance deleting <br />any reference to a fee in the City Code relating to Dog Impound Fees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 25, 2001, the City Council adopted an ordinance deleting any <br />reference to a fee in the City Code relating to Dog Impound Fees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges shall be amended to include a fee <br />for impounding dogs. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYED BY THE CITy COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the 2001 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges is hereby amended to establish an <br /> impounding fee of $50.00 plus a boarding fee in an amount determined by the agreement <br /> between the City and the designated pound, for each day the animal was confined. The <br /> impounding fee for any dog impounded twice within 12 months shall be $100.00. <br />2) <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />-299- <br /> <br /> <br />
